The raccoon was the most fun. She was caught inside the wall of a house as a baby and we had to bottle feed her. She was never completely tame though. While she was completely attached to us, she had a wild "switch". If you picked her up you would flip her switch and she was after blood. As soon as you put her down the switch flipped off and she was ready to play. At the same time she loved to ride on our shoulders and play with our hair. We used to take her to the local lake and she loved to hunt for food on the shore. This she just seemed to know how to do without being taught. She also loved to play hockey on the kitchen floor with a piece of ice.

I still miss her (Rica) and I still have scars. We had to keep her hidden as it is illegal in Texas to own one or even move one more than 10 miles. Vets are forbidden to treat them and there are no rabies shots available. Rabies in raccoons is not a problem in Texas as it is on the East coast.
my uncle had a coon that his buddie caught in a leghold trap she was a baby and he took her to his friend who was a vet and they looked her over and said she was fine he kept her in his basement for a few yrs she ran and played and acted like a cat, i remember him bring home caught suckers and and she would pop the eyeballs out and eat them and reach down its throat to the guts and pull them out. he also kept her hidden. she was a cool pet adn it was sad she was found dead one morning in the corner of the room balled up.

I have about 25 tarantulas, four scorpions, three species of exotic cockroaches, and several very nervous neighbors.

If you lived in Australia, that 's pretty much what everyone have on their front porch...

Well, not the Tarantulas anyway. You'd probably have a mutiple variety of many other spiders though, like Funnel webs, Trapdoors, Redbacks, Wolf and Bird-catcher...And the neighbours wouldn't be nervous, as they would most likely have something like that living in their yard as well.

You have 5-6 types of Tarantula down there last time I checked...

Do you even have any non-leathal animals? Even your kittens are....

I stand corrected. We have eight Tarantula's. In my defence, it isn't really a common (colloquial) name for them though. I referred to one of those by a colloquial name of 'Bird catcher', more correctly called 'Bird eater' and another by 'Trap door'. After I did a quick research on the 'net, I find these are both 'Tarantula', so there you have it. Thank you for the education.
In response to your second question, my dog is fairly friendly, although I have seen him arc up once or twice when he decided to take a dis-like to someone. He looked like he could be pretty lethal then too...
