Hmm. I'll be sporting a moustache from Movember till the New Year, it would appear I need to source some of this for the handlebars...one should never accept an unruly moustache, what what!

I've been using American Crew
Leaves a nice shine, leaves the hair soft and washes out decent. Has a nice smell.

I use Crew, uppercut and Suavecito. Love Pomade. All water based. I would be curious to here others favorite brands.

I have used Murrys in the past, but didn't like having to use dish soap to clean my hair before going to the barber. So I switched back to American Crew Grooming Cream. High Shine with a good malleable hold, and it comes out with a standard shampoo.

I would be interested in other products, but like I said, I don't like having to use the same stuff they clean up oil spills off animals with to get my hair back to normal. Also I like being able to drive to the store to get it instead of ordering it online.

I make my own from bees wax and olive oil. It is quick and easy and I can scent it with essential oils.

I found a few recipes after a quick search, but how easy is it to clean out of your hair?

The bees wax and olive oil will wash out easily with a regular shampooing. Actually both of those things are suppose to be really good for your hair too. It started for me when I had very long hair in an attempt to keep it hydrated. I think my ratio is 5:1, the large part being olive oil. Basically you get it all hot and melted and then put your very small pot into a bit of cold water in the sink and stir vigorously until it cools. As the temperature get down to warm you can add essential oils then or after it has completely cooled. I use vetiver often and sometimes frankincense and cedar

If you stick with water based it should come right out.

RezDog how long does it take? I would love to try.

I don't know about the hair products of this day but when I was a little younger (about 50-55years ago) we used white rose or royal crown. either one would straighten your hair and add at least 1 1/2 to 2 inches to your height. It also would wash out ok. I really don't have to worry about that now a days. I can wash my head and my face with the same wash rag
