Been using Uppercut Deluxe lately and it is the best I have ever used. it is right up there with Prospectors. By far the best 2 I have used.

I use Suavecito and Layrite, I prefer water soluble pomades.

I haven't tried those yet; today's POD is Sweet Georgia Brown; this is heavy stuff but I am happy to have buttered my lid with it. HOG

I mostly use Murray's Superior, White Lightning, Mr Ducktail & Murray's Hair-Glo. I've been known to throw some Groom-n-Clean & Brylcream into the mix too.

I have some Suavecito (regular & firme) on the way, along with Reuzel Red. Figured I'd give a few water-based Pomades a try.

I find it funny after going to my new favorite barbershop in my locale that I stumble upon this thread and the barber did my hair with Woodys Clay. I thought this stuff was amazing cause my hair resist all methods of control . Anyhow any others use this stuff.

If Reuzel red is anything like the green (medium hold petroleum base) it'll be top of the line. The only one that beats it in my book is Lockhearts

Actually the Red is a water-based Pomade.

But now I'll have to try the Green too.

I use water based pomades for day to day use. Easy to wash out and most of them do not dry your hair, and don't take dynamite, napalm or Agent Orange to wash out.
My current water based every day use pomades

    1. Suavecito
    2. Suavecito Firme/Strong Hold
    3. Layrite Super Hold
    5. Bona Fide Superior Hold
    6. Steadfast
    7. Admiral
    8. Upper Cut Deluxe
    9. Cock Grease xXx
    10. Old Spice "Spiffy"
    11. Reuzel (RED)

I wash my hair daily and like for my pomade to wash out as well. When I need a petro based hold I like the Uppercut Monster.
