Thread: Boots

I've looked for a 'boots' thread and can only find a 'shows' thread or a 'combat boots' thread so made a new one. Thinking about new boots at tax time. I have two pairs picked out, but Cindy says one pair looks like girls' cowboy boots. I say they're European styling and look a little 'Nordic' in style (though they are Italian). I'm pretty much set on getting both pairs; though together they'll cost me about 500.

So, tell me, do the Italian ones look like girls' cowboy boots?

I intend to wear the Italian ones with grey slacks, white shirt with French cuffs, mother of pearl cufflinks, brown belt, no jacket or tie. I intend to wear the Portuguese ones (the cheaper pair) with jeans, white shirt, tweed blazer, brown belt, no tie.

I have lately decided I very much like good quality boots; not the chunky worksite kind, just good old styled boots...

I don't know anything about Italian boots, but the boy & I got ours in Texas in 2008. I won't wear boots unless they are made in Texas or Mexico, they make great boots.
I'll take some photos of mine tomorrow.

Actually Carl , I like them both. Use the buckle one for going out on the town & the lace-up for everyday wear.

They're both good. I like the Libero boots out of the two. Personally wouldn't buy anything from Asos. My friend buys all his clothes from them and Zara. He's a stylish fellow and can wear clothes well, but I think in the end the clothes make him look ordinary at best.
I'd prefer to buy something that's made by a company that cares about what it does, does one or two things really well, and makes me look better, rather than me making them look better. And if it costs well it costs, but they usually last, and are a delight to wear the first time and the thousandth time. But that's just my humble opinion.

So that's a good start for the Libero boots. I was going to get a jacket as well from ASOS. Maybe not? The boots from ASOS look quite nice, Portuguese...

I am very happy with my RM Williams boots. Got a free Dryskin jacket thrown in as well.

It is important to me to try them on before purchasing, maybe I have odd shape feet.
