I hope you don't mind me posting this Silverloaf, but I believe this blade that the stallion is using is very similar to the originally posted razor.

Oh man he called you Silverfoam...... He does mess up the names of almost all the stuff he uses though. LOL, but he is a great guy!

harrywally- he more than apologized for that, trust me! anthony is a great guy, very generous as well
that thar is one of these "biggins" with the beveled spine. it is the only one i have ever made that is the shoulderless design, all others have shouldered designs but either beveled spine or flat sided spine. all are spanish point, 9/8 or larger and typically 1/4-1/2 hollow.

TinTin- here are a few of the beveled spine, shoulderless version and one pic of the flat sided spine version as it centers. i may violate the policies here if i post finished pics of the other flat sided spine one as i have a current listing featuring it. i will however post more pics of the current builds as i make progress. i have 3 scheduled and fresh steel on the bench so shouldnt be too long

It almost never is. The grinding radius is almost always bigger than the wheel radius, because it is impractical to do otherwise.

this one i believe i had ground exclusively on a 2" wheel. for reference its 8/8, not a true 2" radius on the blade, perhaps it was close on the spanish point. "rocking" the blade as you grind enlarges the effective radius of any wheel. if you grind on the corner of a wheel while angling the blade to the wheel it decreases the effective radius to the point where if you are grinding the blade parallel to the wheel it flat grinds as you move it up and down the wheel (look at the old faux framebacks again and you may see that this is how they ground them, hanging the spine over the edge of the wheel and using that wheel to "flat grind" the blade faces).
