working on some biggins
doing up a couple of these 9/8 "biggins" but dont have current pics. these pics are of a recent one already finished but show some of the steps. ill get pics of the others soon....
left to right showing: 1. rough ground blank, hand sanded to 320 prior to heat treat. 2. tapered tang. 3. initial polish and the holes (drilled prior to heat treat) in the spine to accommodate brass rod for decoration. 4. after setting the bevel (actually went to 5k or 8k iirc) after final grind to check for even bevels before mounting in scales. 5. brass rod inserted, blade completely mirror polished and test fitting some horn scales with brass hardware.Silverloaf
