    Indeed.
Rocking the blade on a smaller radius wheel also increases grinding speed, and prevents heat buildup.
And wat you desrbie about the faux frameback, that is how I ground my smiling Lancet grind.

ill have to go look around, i hadnt seem your lancet edge. did you hollow grind conventionally first at all and then use the method described to grind in the flat portion of the lancet edge? or did you use this method to form the step variety as seen on the mappin & webb lancet edge? im asking too many questions without going and looking for your lancet..... any chance you could post a pic right here?

ah i see, thank you edhewitt! looks like the step variety. i had contemplated doing one in the past but hollow grind on an 8" wheel and then turn to grind the lower half/third in this fashion. i never drew it out and never attempted it at the grinder. ill have to pull something together soon......

I am sure it will be an experience I was looking through an old thumb drive the other week and found the scanned PDF copies of the design I drew up. That was a bit nostalgic for me

When you said big, I wasn't visualizing quite that big, but sleek! Awesome blades and scales!
