No problem I know what you mean. I just wanted to point out why that set of dies is on there.

New
It's up and running!
Having a forge really came in handy for hooking up the foot pedal. I took 5 feet of railing for mounting shelves, and folded it like a pretzel. No forging today but I am going to prepare a couple of billets so that next time round, I can forge out a couple of billets.
Btw for those of you who frequent youtube, please 'subscribe' my channel. I'm trying to get a bit more visibility on youtube, and some more likes for my channel will probably help that.

Thanked: 3795Very nice. I am happy for you while also quite jealous. I have assurances from my wife that we WILL clear crap out of the garage this summer, which finally will allow me the space to rebuild at least one of my hammers.

Thanked: 25Good luck with that one, my garage is full of items that needed to go to Salvation Army.

Thanked: 3795When we moved from Iowa City 7 years ago, we brought along four boxes that I had labeled "shoes Sybil will never wear." I filled and labeled those boxes in 2002. They are in the garage.
So are about a dozen boxes of 10+ year old scientific journals.
So are the last 4 computers we've used.
I am not completely innocent in responsibility for the mess in the garage, but my stuff is important!

Back before we had this new kitchen, we didn't have enough room for everything. Logically, you'd think that the prime spaces in the kitchen cabinets were reserved for stuff we used daily, and that other stuff would be positioned based on how infrequently it was used.
But no, my wife decided that those 2 bread baskets we literally use less than once every year, and those 2 water decanters that we have never even used as far as I remember, should get those prime spots. I told her it was stupid to waste that space on crap that was useless.
She got upset, told me that she didn't comment on my tools in the basement, so I had better not give her ANY comment about ANYTHING regarding what goes where in the kitchen. And this was accompanied by 'the look'.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 3795We solved that a different way. We each have own bathroom AND our own kitchen. As a result, most of the time I manage to keep my mouth shut.
