When I stack and whack, I always grind the steel clean again in between. Especially when it is only folded in half, because then the middle will come out near the edge where bad welds can screw you over.
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Yup. That's the frustrating thing as I did that too (the grinding clean), but something went a little sideways somewhere along the line. Somehow that bit just didn't take. If I had been smart about it, I would have gone for a stack of three rather than two. Live & learn, and all that.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Scarface lives...
I'm finally done messing around with the grind, evening out the edge, sanding, sanding, more sanding, and etching (although TBH I may etch it a bit more tomorrow as the contrast in real life is less than the photo suggests). Tomorrow: we'll know if it will take a edge. Fingers crossed.
I especially like how the layers came out on the back of the spine.

I love this idea. The razor looks good for what it is. Looking forward to hear how it shaves.

Thanked: 315Wow! Now for the scales.
I wasn't sure about the shape you chose at first, but I like it much better seeing it finished. Going to start looking for more blades to melt down?
