This is truly an inspiring post. I've toyed with some knife making and plan to take a damascus blacksmithing class this summer. Thanks for the play by play.

now this is awesome.
now i really want to make my own razor. lol is there a list of things i would need to do this?
and where does one get the steel for this? :P

You can find local steel sellers or since you are in Toronto if you can make it over to Michigan there are a couple of Alro shops in Detroit
Alro Steel
they sell all grades of steel. As to what else you would need there have been a few conversations about this on the forums if you do a search.
