I thought about a mosaic pin in the shank or blade, probably saw a picture if yours butch...
But in this one, I don't have a fix...
It is just about shave ready and I'll see how it feels
I think it's too flexible for my taste, but it will shave.

mike i normaly blow out the center of the grind not at one of the edges
one thing that helped me a pile is a good single point of light that i can "wave" the blade back and forth under and watch how the reflection bends

its the best way i have found to find the highs and lows and grind fro there the reflection should parallel the spine

You could elongate the hole and sell it as an elf iceskate.

I didn't see it covered about the value of the vacuum and nelsonite. It draws the air from between fibers so the treatment can flow in. Same idea as foodsaver marinate meat in jar. You can see bubbles float out of meat even after its been soaking in marinade awhile.

It was awesome work on blades. I can only hope mine turn out as well. Been picking away on a pair of blades here and there until my cheap grinder I had gave up.

The first blade is shaving very well right now, it is only finished to 50 grit, and has some definite room for improvement, but it shaves great.
Planning on shipping it out to a member or two to see what others think, but that's going to have to wait a few days
my wife just had our first child, so my time is scarce...
