I finally had to badger, force him to meet me in an underground parking garage (where we were all going to park to go to the Skydome), to give me my guitar back, I said if he didn't bring it, we'd get in his car, drive to his house and get it...still makes me shake my head that he thought I was being, "difficult" about the whole thing...some people, that's all you can say.

Still have the guitar, really nice Martin Dreadnought with the combo Martin steel / nylon strings I like, about 25 years old now ( was 10 years old when I got it!)...still make sure when it get's cold to put the humidifier between the strings.

But for my everyday use, still love Neil Young's workhorse guitar, a nice Takemine Dreadnought, and yup, with the Martin steel / nylon strings....
I can't believe you lent out a Martin.

Really...was supposed to be for two weeks, he was interested in buying one.

One thing I will say in his favor, the guitar was in perfect shape, fret board ( no finger marks), MOP inlays, everything was perfect...but yes, never again. My son gets to play it once in awhile...other than that, his Washburn is a fine guitar.

Wow! The Oz's guitar player! I remember riding the crazy train in the 80's, what a talent, RIP.

Going to have to do some Google on Jackson guitars...I had a BC Rich electric and a Fender 30 years ago or so, but electric was never my thing...I'll take my finger picking, strumming Allman Brothers, Neil Young, Marshall Tucker Band, Black Crowes, Led Zep and all that old stuff....electric just never got my mojo going, aside from the fact that I sucked at playing one...

I still have my Jackson along with my Les Paul. Everything else I sold off a few years ago. I no longer play but those two guitars were my favorites.

I simply hold people up to my own standards, which are high. If I borrow something, it get returned, often in better condition than when I got it. At one of the festivals I was at, somebody LEFT A MARTIN in my tent. Each night I would take it with me back to my van and store it out of the weather. End of festival, it was still there. I took it home, loosened the strings, and let it sit until the next year. When a happy hippy chic yelled out "OMG, my baby!"
I dont WANT to be the guy who wont loan a tool, Because I know what its like to need one. I just wont let anybody screw me, thats all. I like to live by example. And being generous is something that more kids today need to see.
