On a side note, does anyone know of any local sources of shaving supplies? I found a cutlery place in McGregor Village in Cary that has a few Col. Conk soaps, a TI or two, a few older nicer razors, and some brushes, Nortons, Merkur safeties, etc. Also the Woodcraft store off of Glenwood by the Walmart has a decent selection of stones, wet/dry sandpapers, etc.
Hey Evan, I was always able to find some pretty nice razors at the antique emporium at, shoot, I can't remember the name, but it's the shopping center with the 1000 Villages, Fresh Market, and the Big Sky bakery.

PS That's quite a course load!

Well since I'm blind, I could use a ride to such a manly event. My S.O. did offer but doesn't seem fair to her. Let me know if and when.

OK who is going to step up and organize this? We can do this guys, lets first decide what else we want to do? I know that SO that come won't want to hear all this, so do we go to a park? A lake? or a Mall? Give some input. I have a few collector razors I'll bring, My Norton, barber hones, And my Tony #2 strop, and some samples of colleen's soap, so you can see some of these things we talk about, if you don't already have them. I am by no means a Honemiester, but I can get a razor to cut hair. Alright, next.

Sounds like most people are in the triangle (except Phil). Does anyone know of any places in the area that would be good. Maybe if we all make a donation to Woodcraft they'd let us hang out there. As far as dates, I think all graduations are the weekend of the 13th (and that's also mothers day), so how about either the weekend before or the weekend after? I'd prefer a Sunday, but not for any particular reason.

I've got lots of soap, some wood, and a few project razors I could bring. I think it would be great to see all the different stuff people have and how people strop, hone, test, etc.
