Thanked: 0Gathering for North Carolinians (and anyone else who wants)
It seems like there are a good number of us in or around North Carolina. Maybe it would be worth trying to get an informal gathering together. We could trade, show off razors and techniques, hone some razors, maybe have some eastern style bbq and some beer. Does this appeal to anyone else? If so, any thoughts or ideas as to possible dates or places? If there is interest, we could probably find a central location that is within three hours of driving for everyone, and people could probably carpool too.

I'm in the Triangle area... live in Creedmoor, work in Durham. I think this idea sounds like a lot of fun.

Thanked: 0I go to UNC-Chapel Hill, but you'll have to count me out for this semester. I'm studying Epidemiology and Cell Biology, which translates into NO FREE TIME.

Thanked: 0I know what you mean about NO FREE TIME. I'm taking
Advanced Embedded Systems, Digital Control Systems, Intro to Nucular Engineering, and History of Medieval Science, along with trying to find a job. Anyone need a Computer/Electrical Engineer?
On a side note, does anyone know of any local sources of shaving supplies? I found a cutlery place in McGregor Village in Cary that has a few Col. Conk soaps, a TI or two, a few older nicer razors, and some brushes, Nortons, Merkur safeties, etc. Also the Woodcraft store off of Glenwood by the Walmart has a decent selection of stones, wet/dry sandpapers, etc.
