I shave every night especially near a full moon and I haven't had problems to your extreme.
I find that chewing bones keeps my eye teeth in check.

Thanked: 4207It’s the back hair that gets outa control this type of moon.
Ya shave, ya growl, ya wake up covered in sweat after shredding your pillow in a dream..
Or you tell yourself it’s a dream...

Uncle Zeke complains about this pesky Timber Wolf who keeps raiding his illegal traps in the National Forest. Last week he got into a tug of war with the beast over some coyote caught in the trap. Uncle Zeke didn't win. Afterwards they became friends and the wolf complained that during a full moon he has these frightening dreams he turns into a human who can' stop eating and can't stop shaving cause his beard grows as fast as he can shave it.
Yes a true story. Too bad I'm ineligible to win.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

When I was a young chap, serving as a powder monkey on Old Ironsides..
I longed for the day on which I could grow a regulation beard!!
One day I had a fever, and so such terrible hallucinations rendered me a captive of another world.
I remember the mermaid the most.
A young fool, after being offered a wish and a song, I wished for a beard!
She then shaved me with a straight razor, that sung a song of such beauty, such soul crushing tones, such barbaric grace, a symphony of mind blowing sounds of which no man could hear and survive..
My newly grown beard never grew back.
I awoke from that fever yet still a boy..
..and now can only ever shave when the full moon grows me a beard.

This explains so much for me. I just found this thread today,(which is hard to believe in the first place since i check in at least twice a day) I was not aware of such a super moon phenomena. As I think back over the past few weeks so many anomalous shaving events have taken place.
It all started with the inability to hone a couple of razors that should have been a breeze (i almost gave up and went back to using a DE). Then, last week i found a beautiful green Escher hone for a amazing price (in the wild). This kind of thing just does not happen. As i used it on the aforementioned razors, I felt confident of success. Apparently the moon also effects Escher hones as the edge was gentle and left a BBS shave, but must have stimulated hair growth as the shave didn't last. Felt growth the next morning and a shadow by the end of the day.(This doesn't happen normally).
Then to top it all off, the SWMBO said we could take our time on a weekend trip to visit our son and stop at some antique stores on the way!
Coincidence? I don't think so. There is no other explanation than the Super-Moon Eclipse Phenomena (SMEP)Last edited by tintin; 07-16-2018 at 09:29 PM.

I am very sorry Spendur. I know i ain't eligible for a prize but there is a witch that keeps whispering in my ears to reply to your thread before she will break her spell. Hearing voices makes me feel I am going crazy. So this is therapeutic.
Saw a witch fly by when we had Red Moon last night:
Woke up this morning and found I looked like Catweazle:
Took out my battle axe:
Honed it on my largest hone: a 7x2 1/2 Hohenzollern and added some witchdust that she had left on my pillow to the slurry for a supadupa wickedly sharp edge and started shaving:
Here I am: still bewitched but clean shaven, hoping she will break her spell on me soon:
