Yup! I was thinking the exact thing. It would be like a woman receiveing expensive jewlery to polish, admire, display but never wear. It's not something I can understand. I would want to experience my collection especially if I go to the trouble to hone them to a keen edge. However, its not my place to judge or question why but, I only wish I could be blessed with such a wonderful, understanding girlfriend as he is blessed with! A rare jewel indeed!

I like either the one you picked from Vitage Blades LLC (your first choice) or the Shaving Shop one ("girly/butch" Mella High Class) should be the one you finally decide on. These had something about them that you appreciated, and you can relate that to your boyfriend upon presentation. It will give the razor greater significance in his collection because of the reason(s) for selection by you (of course, this is IMHO).

Not to be pedantic, but if he doesn't shave with them, it is debatable whether the edges are that keen.
No doubt they will be sharp, but there is sharp as in 'It shaves arm hairs' and then there is sharp as in 'I can sell it as shaveready on SRP and not get a disappointed customer'.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

nothing to add that hasn't been said, except that I'm wondering if she has an older sister
