Thread: I Love This Place!!

You all bringing a tear to my eye. Really it is all true. It is frustrating when we see some of the great stuff here plagiarized. But there will always be people like that, all we can do is continuing the great tradition here. Also insuring that our culture stays alive and well. And we do have all of you to thank for that.

You all are the Best

SRP is a great place and i am sure our number will increase day by day. Hope every member's enjoys and having a lot fun with straight razor's.

If there are those among us who wish to try and replicate SRP elsewhere, Let them try. SRP is not information, it is not a domain name, it is people. Good people with a passion for not only a hobby but a passion for being fair with one another and having fun.

This site has nurtured and fanned the flames of this hobby of mine over the last few months so much that I know I am now if the grips of a life long passion. From my first shave, to my first attempt at honing, to restoring razors and brushes I know I can find help and support here. This site will always be my first port of call for anything shaving related.

Today I am starting my project to raise awareness of ladies straight shaving, I have a good feeling about it and will keep you all posted. We could do with a few more ladies around here.

This forum is what got me started the right way. I've met the nicest people who are always ready to help with accurate information. There is none of the one upmanship, arguments etc. I've seen on so many other forums.
In short there is no other forum like this one and I doubt there ever will be. If others want to plagiarize etc so be it you can't really stop them but it just shows the level of knowledge we have here.
Take the meets around the country our various members host. If you haven't been to one your really missing something that's fun, informative in the extreme and well it's just unheard of with any other forum. Not to mention you get to meet and share with some great folks.
I could go on and on but if you've been here awhile you know what I mean and if you're a new straight shaver welcome you've found the best home for our hobby.
Finally a big thank you to Lynn for creating this forum and all his hard work!

This place is a wealth of good information.

Thanks to SRP for reducing my learning curve. It would have taken me years to figure out some of this stuff by trial and error.

I am a glutton for punishment, but thats besides the point.


This place has it all ... except maybe for some chicks on trampolines.
