Thanked: 259MEMBERS OCCUPATION/CAREERS
i have seen questions on here about age and other things about the members here but not anything about what they might do for a job. i know there are a great group of people here.
i am willing to start off. i am an over the road truck driver and have been for going on 23 years. i have over 2,750,000 miles accident and ticket free. before that i had a small construction company for 3 years. prior to that i was in the navy(77-81) as a communications tech, then i worked for the air force as a civilian for 2 years as a computer tech for a jet/rocket engine test facility. hope some of the other members have a little more interesting resume.

I think you have a very impressive resume! Especially those 2.75 million miles without any problems!
I'm a student this time of year, but through the summer I work in our family shop making custom cabinets. I've also spent a year working in a research lab and doing field research in entomology. I volunteer with WetWebMedia when I have time, which is less and less lately... college and a lack of funds/space have forced me out of the aquarium world.

Thanked: 235Right now I'm a high school teacher. Previously I have been a security guard, cleaner, apprentice chef, soldier and a farm hand. Not necessarily in that order.

I just finished my summer gig as the rigger at a 5000 seat tent. A month early I might add due to the lack of music acts touring at the moment.

Retired military intelligence analyst. I ran the Air Force Intelligence training center for about 5 years. That background started me in training/education. So now I'm in education.
But ultimately I'm paid by a private consulting firm, which makes me a Defense contractor and I could be doing whatever tomorrow. We bid on any contracts we want with the exception of "Lowest Bidder" government stuff.
Nothing really dramatic but it's pretty interesting stuff.

As a young man I worked at many of the menial jobs that GW Bush said nobody wanted and was glad they were there. In my late teens I became a union ironworker and followed that for twenty years. For the last nineteen years I have been a professional tattoo artist in various street shops.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
