I'm currently an Electronics Technician for the United States Postal Service, maintaining and repairing automated mail sorting equipment. I started with the postal service as a Mail Processing Equipment Mechanic.
Previously, in reverse order:
I worked in a print shop, making four color proofs, bluelines and plates (I'd started in their warehouse, shipping and receiving).
I kicked around various clerical temp jobs here in Arizona.
I worked as a staff assistant in a Congressional office in Washington D.C..
I served as an Arabic linguist in the United States Air Force.
Before the USAF, I made pizzas, worked in an appliance store warehouse and did those annoying phone surveys.
I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up (I'm 41).

Interesting thread! I was born and raised on a ranch in a remote area of northwest Colorado. We raised commercial Herefords and raised our own Quarter Horses (it took a LOT). I then decided I should become a pilot, and spent about 20 years kicking around in aviation, ending up as the Program Director of the Flight Training Program for a community college. It was wonderful, and I truly enjoyed it until the bureaucracy and paperwork completely destroyed it for me. I have now returened to my roots, and have a Custom Saddle Shop, where I design and build custom saddles and tack for the working horsemen and women. I also build custom holsters and other high end leather projects as time allows (and before anyone asks, not THAT kind of "leather"). I also teach Concealed Carry classes for those willing to acknowledge they are the only person who can be relied upon for their own safety.
Love your enemies...but keep your gun loaded!
