Thanked: 0Yes, I meant it as in Aggressive and defiant, but then looking it up, it really threw me off. I meant it as a compliment, I remember reading it on Bills site "about me site" . Thanks for correcting me, I would have hated having it sound as a negative comment.

Thanked: 1Update to the Traveling Razor
Just wanted to let everyone know that I have not forgotten about the razor. I'm still refining and tweaking which is not to be confused with a "tweaker".
Here is the blade with a tiny bit of file work...
Ah... but there is more. I've been pondering on the outside of the box a bit. I just might be sending this around instead. It is ergonomic. It may look a little funky to begin with, but it fits the hand really good in a lot of positions. I'll just have to figure out how to store it to protect the blade. After a while, it grows on ya... And, of course, it will get some fancy scales to go with it. What'll ya allow on it?
Here is just a little of the file work going on this one. There will be more at the thumb position and the back of the blade.

Its breathtaking...even without scales on it. I would suggest a small sheath like device, so that it feels like you are unleashing a sword when you remove it (if you can figure out a way for the blade to remain untouched in the process) or perhaps more practical, its own box which houses the entire razor. Simple, yet effective. Based on how I imagine it would be used I'm not so concerned about scales but rather what I consider the grip point. Any scale material would be fine. Will the scales extend into the grip area and improve the purchase on the grip?
Your right it takes a while to grow on you ... took me about 4 seconds.

Thanked: 1Well...I've not come to a final opinion on the "out of the box" so I'll keep to myself til I do. The traditional on the other hand leaves me completely without words. Well save "I gotta get me one of these!!" of course. I just absolutely CAN NOT WAIT for this passaround!

The traditional blade is simply beautiful. I also love the out of the box design. How about calling it a "beaver tail"?

Thanked: 1Not Too Far Away
Ok, guys...
I took the razors over to my buddies house to have them heat treated. He said he would be firing up his oven within the next two weeks. He has to finish some folders he is working on first.
I am really bummed that my stencils for putting on my logo are in storage, so the razor will make the journey without the adornment.
In the meantime, I need everyone on the list to send me their mailing address so I can figure out where to send it. I will try to keep an updated list going here so everyone will know when to expect it.
No address, no razor... let's get crackin'...
