I think that a give away is a great idea and I doubt if you would find anyone that wouldn't want there name in the hat. I personally would like to see some of the razors going via a raffle and others going live auction style say in the chat room. All money going to a charity or part of the money helping with this website. Then the hard part would be selecting the charity.

I would be willing to opt out if it would increase
the chances of a razorless newbie of winning a
razor.

Thanked: 0I would like to just say thanks to all for the good info that this broad has and to throw my name in the hat as well. I would just like to try a SHARP razor to compare with.

I would love to win one of those razors. I am new here and been waiting on a razor I purchased On february 12th to be honed by Lynn, but the razor being a major pain in the butt, and is fighting him every neck of the way. I know Lynn doesnt accept anything short of perfection on his honing jobs (which is why I chose him), and he is not happy with the edge yet.
I travel for work most weeks, but have not flown on a plane for over 5 weeks and had hoped that I would have gotten to try the razor before I have to start flying again as I dont check my baggage and cant bring the razor with me.
Well, I just ordered a new toiletry kit AND a new large suitcase that I can check under the plane. I am giving up carrying on my luggage every week just so I can enjoy my shaves, and bring my razor, strop, barbers towels, etc, everywhere I go. I cant wait to check the mail each weekend when I get home to see if my razor has finally arrived but so far nothing I have everything I need but a razor and I would REALLY like to try straight shaving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, well that is my sob story...even if I dont win a razor I feel better now that I shared with the group!

Thanked: 4942On the last one we did, I honed up around 15 or more razors and then we opened it up to new folks. Lots and Lots of entries over a couple week period. Then drew names out of the hat to match razors and mailed them out. It was fun and took a ton of time. Right now I got to get JL's razor done first. It is a buggar. Actually I'm gonna give him one of mine in the mean time. Tis in the mail actually. Have fun. Lynn
