I have to agree with the general concensus. Amy showed a great attitude and I can't wait to see the analysis of the improved product. It gives me confidence that the razors will get to the point where I'll actually buy one for myself and maybe even a few as gifts.

I have to agree that Amy went the right way with this. Also what a concept a manufacturer actually listening to the customer. WOW

Well, I definitely think it was a standup way to accept feedback and critiques from the community. Remains to be seen if the people who make the decisions will actually implement any changes though. Too many times I've seen people go out, solicit feedback, get some good solid recommendations for changes and then take it back to their management only to have management shoot them down because of the "bottom line"

Thanked: 1I do applaude Amy for comming her and going out on a limb to get customer feedback. I amnto optimistic about Kamisori selling an economical razor that we woudl consider acceptable.
the feedback we got from Lynn and bill and randy would lead one to believe the problem is most likely in the steel, (or maybe just in the heat treating). If the problem is the quality of steel then i would expect the solution to be cost prohibitive for them. they are also not building the razors themselves and would have to pursuade the manufacturer to change the way the razors are being produced, either a higher quality steel or a different heat treating regiment.

Thanked: 1One of the best threads I've read on the internet recently.
I respect all involved in this thus far.
I look forward to buying a Kamisori, should this thread have an impact on their products. Better yet, send this newb a free one, it can only be better than my first experience... bought a Zeepk that completely shattered my condience in ever getting a new blade sharp. Doh! (TI razor on its way though).

I just picked up the black 150 and am going to send it off to Lynn; that is if he'd be interested in honing it. Let's see if the quality has improved in the past 10 months. J.

So I came across this antiquity and am going to revive it as I see the prices are still "introductory" on the website, btu another Olivewood model has been added. It does not appear many changes were made to the line. I was wondering if amykamisori still get emails, and if she would be willing to do another round of consumer review.
