Thread: Clarification - Kamisori Razors

Just so everyone knows, I will give them a fair trial. After I am done I will be sending the razor to anyone who wants to give it a trial and post their impressions.

I believe it was Laz in Tampa who tried the Kamisori razors before and posted a negative. I will be asking him if he wants to try this new model.

I really have no axe to grind with this company. If they are really trying to market a good razor then the least I can do is give them a fair shake. By doing so we can all feel comfortable in telling a new guy if the razor he is considering is worthwhile or not.

On another razor forum I have recently exchanged some harsh words with Venus Worldwide, in public. They have sent a razor for eval to the moderator of that site. I will let you know what he has concluded. I doubt that it will pass muster. I would like to try that razor after he is finshed.

has anyone revieved any of the razors yet? Just curious as it has been a couple weeks (thereabouts) since they were going to ship out.

Nothing has arrived yet...

I received mine about 5 days ago, just before I came down with this rotten cold. More later.

Any word on how these did? I have been watching for a while and am curious as to how the new razor will be evaluated by the elders... err more experienced members?

Depending on where they're being shipped from and to they'll take 1 to 6 weeks to arrive to the testers. Then the testers will have to test them pre honed and post honed. I'm guessing a good testing will take 2 to 3 weeks also, especially if they're a dense steel and take a bit of honing practice to get used to.

I don't think it will take Lynn, Bill or Randy that long
to effectively evaluaute these razors. IMHO.

Got the Kamisori on Saturday. I honed it up today and will shave with it tomorrow. I'll give you what I think in the next day or two.

I also got the Venus today and I will evaluate that one as well...
