Thanked: 2209Hello,
I just saw your post about your straight razors. It is very good of you to let us know that your are having them made by an established manufacturer.
I am willing to give your product a fair evaluation and then post my results to this and other straight razor forums. Once I have finished my evaluation I will put the razor on a traveling evaluation trip to other members of this forum.

Amy,
I wish you luck. I hope the razors get two
thumbs up from each of the testers. It's
really great to see someone attempting
to produce a good quality straight razor
in the 21st century. If they receive a
positive review, I hope that you sell
a million of them.
Regards,
Terry

That must have been before my time. Selling a million razors
is on the condition that they are a good quality razor.
We will soon find out. Lynn, Bill and Randy will no doubt give them
a fair and honest review. If they are worthy they will tell us, if
not, they won't pull any punches. I hope they are worthy.

Thanked: 1i would be happy to see another quality SR manufacturer. But this sounds like its one of the established manufacturers making the razor for a distributor.
my big question is what is the unique selling proposition (USP) of these new Kamisori razors? in other words what is special about it that would make me, or anyone else, buy it?
any company that produces somethign needs a USP, whether it is price, quality, features, customer servece, etc. With TI it is their lead hardening and hand craftsmanship, with Dovo it is (as far as i can tell) price and consistant quality.
what is going to be the USP of the Kamisoris? assuming they are made by dovo what is going to set them apart aside from having Kamisori etched or stamped on them? they arent priced such as to make cost the USP and if made by dovo quality wont be a USP. will it be features? if so what features will set these razors apart?
at this point even if the reviews came back saying that they are as good as a Dovo i would still steer people away from it for one simple reason, resale value. if I buy a Dovo and for somereason I dont like it or want to get rid of it i can stick it on ebay and people know the quality and will pay a decent price on it. If i buy a kamisori and for some reason want to get rid of it and stick it on ebay most people remember the past poor quality of kamisori and skip to dovos, TI, and vintage names.
