    Rofl!

I wish to apologize to anyone that took my post to be anything else than an attempt at a humorous lament of my shaving equipment acquisition disorder. I've been a married man for a number of years, and theres a small armada of children running around calling me grandpa. No worries, but thanks

With that said - I need to head to my workshop to try to tackle this shaving gear IKEA DVD shelf hack (puh, say that fast 5 times in a row!)

Have a garage sale while she's gone (to help make room in her small closet of course - she'll never miss what she forgot about right?) and when she comes back, hand her the money and say "I want to give you some money to spend on whatever you want. And if you would, please get me a scuttle with the change"

Ooh, nice one that, but very dangerous - I dare not. When I met my wife I had 4 guitars, but no TV set. I told my wife I was contemplating a new guitar and she told me if I did, she'd sell them all while I was at work to buy a TV set. We now have 2 TV sets, and umm, some more guitars. For a while I had Guitar Acquisition Disorder. If she discovers I sold ANY of her stuff I'm afraid it would be on

    Someone has to try this.
Yes, it will be risky. Yes, it will take some guts.
But if it works, it will benefit all mankind...

I feel so inadequate -- I've been using a nice Japanese bowl to build lather in. It floats in a sinkful of hot water. My wife approved of the bowl purchase.

Now I have to find out what a scuttle is?

A scuttle basically is what you already are doing. Imagine a larger mug that your lather bowl sits in, and the larger mug has hot water in it to keep your lather warm.

these seem to be the weapon of choice for many, but there are numerous alternatives: Dirty bird shaving scuttle

No need to feel inadequate, I only got a shaving mug myself, and I'm pretty much doing the same thing as you as well

I use 2 different size bowls that fit together nicely as a scuttle.. total cost was 6 bucks. I would like to get a G5 or Dirtybird but after having great success with my current setup can't seem to justify the purchase.

As for the smirk maybe you read it wrong and you gave her an idea for a future gift too or something hiding in a closet somewhere wrapped and ready.
