Default straight razor use can lead to more disease

thats right, Immunologist tell us that one of the things we do not want to do a lot of is touch our face. touching our face is one vector for viruses to infect us. Seems we tend to pick up a lot of gersm with our hands, touching our face brings them in much closer proximaty to our mucus membranes where they can more easily invade out bodies and infect us.
given this fact, and the fact that using a straight leads most men to continously touch their face through the day to feel how smooth it is, one can only conclude that shaving with a straight can lead to more disease

So bearded ladies and gentlemen, make sure you don't touch anywhere near facial orifices!

    Default Yes but...

But keep in mind that all those micro (and sometimes macro) nicks to the dermis must be stimulating our immune system.

    Right?

They say the same thing about kissing. I'm not giving that one up either.
Plus, I've got about 3 or 4 bad habits in the "Kill Mike" queue ahead of this one.

The term you guys are so politely dancing around is called "faceturbation", a phrase coined by Corey Greenburg. On those days when you nail a great shave, it's a hard habit to break!

Some people say that laughter is the best medicine, but sometimes you just can't replace a good shot of penicillin.

Well, the way I see it, everyone that smokes, drinks, does anything else unhealthy always says "we gotta die sometime". So, I think in comparison to the grand scheme of things shaving with a str8 is probably one of the lowest likely to cause a death.
