Gary, only 30+ to go.

I lurk around here all the time. I don't post unless I have something to say. The few times I answered a question I wished I hadn't. Better advice soon followed. If I posted just to post I'm sure I would have 400.
That being said, I think Bill's criteria is fair!!!
It's his razor and however he decides on a lucky winner is his choice. He has the experience on here to set his criteria,and a definite idea of where he wants it to go.

Now if I could just get that post generator going?????????

Heh well, if nobody asked me about beer I'd probably only have about 30 posts so far, counting the long contemplative ones on the nature of the universe and such

I can't contribute much advice about honing or razors or such yet, but at least I can make people stop and smell the roses every now and then. Each of us has our different ways of contributing.

I agree with trapperjohnme that post count doesn't necessarily correlate to contribution, it is the easiest method for this purpose. That said, 400 also works for this purpose.

I would also like to say I enjoy how this thread has become somewhat of a "help Gary get more posts" it is entertaining. And Gary, here is some encouragement from someone still at the start of the race, "keep posting"

Dont forget that this is a community where guys can get together online and share a common thread of SR that they would most likely be unable to share with anyone else who could appreciate it, or identify with them. Its about making friends and having something to look forward to and laugh about at the end of a crappy day. For me its also about having a place where I can chat with friends about anything and never have to worry about women bitching about misc crap (the few women on here are kind enough not to do that). I value the posts that make me laugh, or help me learn about fountain pens, beer, or summer receipes just as much as those that answer my questions about SR shaving. So dont discount your posts, especially the ones about your beer, if you notice that thread has 7 pages of comments!

Thanks, all, I'm still not sure whether you're all teasing me about trying valiantly to get to 400 or are genuinely rooting me on, but based on the general level of gentlemanliness (is that a word?) I've seen around here I'll assume it's the latter and not the former

I'm just bummed I've missed the chats the last two weeks.
