Can I get my name in the drawing too? My Brother started shaving with a straight razor and told me that it's a better shave, but he only has one. I'm still a poor student, so it would be nice to get a razor and stuff to start with. thank you

I believe the game plan is to have a thread dedicated to signing up for the giveaway. I don't know exactly when that thread will be posted though.

I'm sure you can. Wait for that sign up thread. Keep in mind that you'll need a strop as well.

I plan to visit Lynn and help set up the packages just as soon as I know exactly what's what.

Let's figure out What's What and then we can list the individual items and kits to be given away, open up the name taking and then have them drawn.

Progress is a good ting......we have soaps in the mail as well. I have a few razors now with a couple coming and Tony's strops.......gettin there.

I though Ilija was drawing the names

It's a self-regulating system guys. When we're ready, we create a new sticky that is for sign-ups. The thread is open for x days or y weeks. This is the easy part. I think the name drawing stuff should be done on a Sunday night at the chat, but that's just me.

The problem we have is if guys need a certain item, such as a strop. How do we handle that? Do we put their name in the hat for strops only? Does everyone go in the hat for strops?

Last time we had a razor list and a strop list. Guys could enter both if they wanted. This year I sent all hanging strops, all #1 Bests I think, 2 1/2" and 3" and I think FUD is sending hanging strops too.

Kits are nice but it gives away the limited supply of goods pretty fast. Maybe separate lists again, strops and razors so these go the furthest and then the first guys to get back with their addresses get the bonus gifts of Colleen's fine soaps added to the prizes until they run out.

It's your giveaway so anything is fine with me. Just a suggestion.

Ok, then. Based on what everyone's saying Is everyone ok with having a "razor" givaway list, and a "strop" giveaway list? Is that ok for the main 2 categories then we can either take the soaps and part them among those who don't win anything or we can add one in to each category while supplies last kind of thing?

So we'd have category 1 as razors, category 2 as strops, throw a soap in with each razor and/or strop till they run out? Just throwing out ideas here so we can get things going.

Oh, btw. I ran out of hardware so I only have 4 (hanging) strops finished. Because of that I'm adding a third razor. So instead of 2/5 I'm doing 3/4 razor/strop. I've been waiting to run these over until everything else is received by Lynn but maybe I'll go ahead and get them over now and then run over for packing later.
