Thanked: 4206I'm thinking doors open for 10am, but folks can arrive at their leisure.
Depending on travel should give most folk a chance to grab a cup of their caffeinated favorites en route and still have a few hours of turning, honing, or what have you.
I've turned a few hunks into cylinders and ruff blanks to give folks the raw goods to start from. Going to set up a few tables for stones, and weather willing, will pull out the patio furniture this weekend just in case.
Will most likely do a pulled pork in a slow cooked southern slurry for eating convenience. Save the cow for the summer if we do opt for a bigger blast when the weather is better.

I should be able to make it. I will try to convince the wife to make some sweet deserts of some type. Oh and I'll be sure to bring my new coticule for everyone to try out

Thanked: 2284I can't seem to add the meet to the SRP Calender. Thought it might be a good idea to add, can someone more tech savvy take care of that?

Will try to be there for 1000 as well. anyone have any ideas on how to "straighten" a razor. My honing guy just called and gave me the bad news . . . $$$ down the toilet.

Thanked: 2284I've seen bad ones. All you need is a 1/2" wide stone for those ones. KIDDING!
There's threads on here about doing stuff like this (straightening a blade,) but I think it takes some good know how and some talent to do. I've tried and didn't want to go any farther due to.... I didn't want to snap the blade. I never got it to change at all.Last edited by HARRYWALLY; 04-12-2015 at 12:14 AM.
