I'm planning on about 20 folks for this meetup, but I think we'll be lucky if we get close to that.

This is definitely a small intimate gathering of old and new friends.

If you can't make it and no one has offered maybe it's time to go to our vendor section and pick out a honer or ask by pm and I,ll tell you who to send it to, you,ll have it back before you can make arrangements and go to meet someone and it's cheaper than gas. Tc

Yeah, I've browsed the vendors section. I just hesitate to mail them. They belonged to my wife's father, and without delving into too much detail, let's just say that the events surrounding his death were rather... traumatic. And she doesn't have a lot of items left from him, so I'm really worried to mail them. Not that I don't think there are trustworthy people posting on here, but that I don't necessarily trust the USPS.

It's cool ,, so e things I don't trust to the mail,,them items I send special delivery, I don't mind paying for piece of mind, I have a couple items I,ve sent that were quite valuable. Tc. And to be honest if it's that much better f an issue then put it up and leave it alone, a razor that's being used will have a chance at damage every time you pick it up, sounds to me like you need to move to a better razor to shave with

Any way.... I hate to try and derail a topic, *BUT* since this thread is about a KC area meetup, I assume that a fair number of the people READING said thread are FROM the general area, and I really didn't get much helpful response in the topic-specific sub-forum, I'll go ahead and ask... can anyone recommend anyone in the area that I should go to, to get a couple razors honed? Or anyone willing to offer their services? PM me!
If you can't make this one maybe in the future. I’ll be there tightening pins, cleaning, honing and stropping razors. That does not count the other guys honing and helping out. New persons starting out get their first one or two razors honed for free anyway. Beers are accepted with a smile.
