Be sure to send a PM to the SRP members who posted in the prior KC razor meet threads. I think there have been 6 so far.
I noticed you are only having this for a single afternoon. That's ok for the first time but those of us from Iowa and Minnesota need a 2 day meet to justify the travel time/expense. Just some food for future thought .
Your FB page limits the membership to residents of Missouri & Kansas. Maybe you might want to open that up?

The meet ups we are planning are small. Just meant for the local guys to meet up, hang out, and get to know each other. We aren't planning a large event meant to attract folks from all over. But anyone who wants, is welcome to attend and join the FB page.

I posted a link in the previous meetup thread, so folks subscribed to that would know. I didn't want to spam a bunch of folks by PM. That is sometimes frowned upon. We will be planning other meet ups, so if you can't make this one, there will be others.

Thanks. It is this year, 2016. Sorry. Trying to do all this from my phone and I fat fingered it.

Just to let you know that sending PM's is not regarded as spamming on SRP. I use PM's extensively when I put together a razor meet. Sending out 400-600 PM's/emails is not unusual for a large razor meet.
This has all been approved by Lynn and the Admins.

I understand and respect the interest in keeping in local. On the other hand, there are people in KC that I would love to see again!


I will keep an eye out to see if Kelly, or Sham, or Ray, or Mike can make it. If so, I might be willing to make the 12 hour total drive for the afternoon meetup.

On the off chance that I do come, I'd like to know if Side Products is a bar or a restaurant? Would they allow hones to be laid out and used? Are they specifically OK with straight razors being flashed around the place? Would there be any interest and table room for my microscope and connected TV?

Does it look like there will be honing demonstrations at the meet up?
