Thread: Mild Mild West meetup (Kansas City)

Utopians idea for a small mini meet first is a good one. Then you will get the flavor of what happens.
Regarding competing with other wet shaving meets. Don't worry about it. There are more than enough guys who will not be traveling to the west coast or michigan or texas etc. There are plenty of people here in the midwest.

I am interested and posting to subscribe to this thread.

I would hope that if there are any members in the KC area, Mo/Ks. It would probably be welcomed if they would contact the person that started the thread. My point is to offer a little help to him! Help is good. I know that there are some questions as to a date but it would help him beings he/they are expecting!

I'm not in the area but I am committed to remotely helping with any mini-meet-up he may wish to do. In addition, I will do my best to attend with both my microscope/video set-up and my sparkling personality!

Also, I am hoping that Kelly (Nun2Sharp) and Sham (HiBudGL) will be able to make an appearance.

Just wanted to revamp this idea for next year. I was not able to commit time to anything this year as I was buying a house, getting ready for our first baby, and starting a new job over the summer. Along with a lot of folks being away at summer homes, I thought it better just to try again next year. Bit off more than I could chew by starting the idea.

I'd to see what interest there is in an informal get together at a park or shelter in the Kansas City area next Spring/Summer. It sounds like the meetups of old around here have been pretty elaborate so I'd like to making sure that isn't the precedent, but rather just a chance to meet everyone and put a face with a name (or avatar in this case!)

Let me know thoughts, ideas, input. Feel free to PM me also. Thanks,

May might be a good month... also, if we do it on the square in independence we could possibly get coupons/meet up deals at wild about Harry's... just a thought,... we could do something more in the Kansas City area too... the cigar shop on the plaza also carries a small selection of wet shaving gear...

Also I'm not picky on a time of year, but might be good to do it at different times than the big shave west and the maggards meet up

hey guys, going to revive this a little bit. changing jobs and having a first child last year wasn't super conducive to organizing a meetup last year.
however, sounds like there's some interest in another forum for a missouri meetup and with the interest here it sounds like there'd be a critical mass. I know most of you guys have accounts on B&B so if you like, express interest, and we'll see if we can't get something put together this year!
