    Default Off topic chromium oxide

    Hi

This is probably in the wrong section here but I reckon this powder is the same as I got from Chrisl and use myself.
GREEN CHROMIUM (III) OXIDE 250g (GREEN THERMITE) on eBay, also Chemicals, Lab Supplies, Medical Lab Equipment, Business, Office Industrial (end time 18-Aug-08 10:27:40 BST)

It is a jewellers rouge as well as all the other applications mentioned in the ad. You could try it out - doesn't cost much and you could always email the vendor to get more info before purchase.

    cheers
    Stephen

I bought packet from Chris L in the USA. It cost $5, which is £3 ish. He will sell you some if you don't find another source. He advertises in the classifieds section under hones/strops.

I don't have enough to give it away , Im sorry.

    Default List update

Just added a couple of names to keep the list manageable. Tony (portal5) hasn't found this area to add name to list yet so I did it for him. Maybe some folks are still just not picking this event up? Tony is going to do a short restoration section during the day - many of you will have seen his 'razors on eBay.

As to a full days plan as yet Sandy - no I don't have it laid out on a timetable. This is still to do and will happen soon. There will be a honing demo, a restoration demo, the raffle and a general social - I will make out times for each of the 'planned' elements.

    cheers
    Stephen

Any shaving demonstrations? I mean I never miss out on the chance of improving my technique. Always learning....
