If you're a history buff, check out the 6th Floor museum - it's downtown and is in the book depository where Oswald shot JFK. Worth a visit.

Sorry the date change won't work for you. PM me with your number and a rough schedule and we'll try to meet up. Any lunchtime availabilities?

First off, any good stuff I should do/see in Dallas? I am going to check out the Farmer's Market for sure, and maybe the West Village (shaving supplies place there?). Any antique stores/flea markets in walking distance in downtown Dallas? Also, anyone doing anything razor related in the dates I'll be here? Thanks!

If you are into sports, the American Airlines Center is a fantastic place to watch basketball and hockey. Playoffs are on us, so tickets might be hard to come by though. You should at least take a tour. The Texas Rangers Ballpark is just down I30, and is a great park, even if the baseball isn't too great at the moment.

There are many, many, more, but I will let others tell you their favorites.

Being a newbie to the razor world, I don't know about those around Dallas.

    Enjoy your trip.

    Great minds!
Also check out the W Hotel and their fine restaurants and bars. The ghostbar draws all the celebs and sports stars.

I will be there unless something completely unforseen happens. Looking forward to it.

John and I talked about that and he really felt that the lighting was adequate - so it's all his fault (he's the expert)! No really, I think it will be fine. We may want to crowd around the lower tables that are directly under the lights (there's a long line of them). It'll be great.

First off...Howdy!! I'm a dfw newb, and would definately love to attend, if that's ok? Also the prospect of seeing a live honing demo sounds awesome. I'm not 100% sure that I could attend, I might have to work...it all depends on the weather. I'd love to meet and discuss newb questions face to face with some seasoned straight shavers.

welcome! you are certainly invited to the meetup, and if for some reason you don't make it and still have honing questions, I'm sure one of us would be glad to meet with you at some point and show you the ropes. What part of the metroplex are you in?
