i work at frito lay HQ in plano. my day can start as early as 7 and go to 6pm M-F, and on occasion later. my weekends are set for my family, pets, house, etc. so i will be busting tail 5/4 around my house after God time so that i can do 5/3.

Sounds like you have a great starter gear set-up. As for Nortons, check out the Rockler Woodworking stores. That's where I got my 4k/8k, 220/100, & flattening stone for $99.00.

BTW - Maeglin says he'll be in da house, too.

Tough to stave off the RAD!

Any chance in this "training", my blade will end up shave ready? I'm willing to pay (or buy beer), but as I've said I'm lazy and mailing it off hardly seems worth the effort when I can have it done in person... Yes? No? Maybe? Beer?

Hard for me to answer for others, but here's a go...I bet someone can and will help you out. You may be able to do it yourself, too! Pay attention in class!

this will be a honing clinic, so i think you should be able to get a razor honed. i plan on working on a couple and trying to get some information on a couple more.
