Seriously though, i've always been a fan of things like indoors, central heating, not being rained on. Plus... extreme shaving? I've always appreciated the luxury involved in shaving. Shaving outdoors... I remain to be convinced about the luxury involved in that.
Pack a pot and gas stove, travelling simpson major brush, razor, small strop, small aluminium mirror, shaving soap and after shave balm, sleeping bag, mat, warm clothes, over night food, Ipod and travelling speakers, whisky and any other personal effects and forget luxury for a night in favour of adventure and achievement with reasonable comfort. The shave should be not much less luxurious, the views tremendous and the buzz worth doin it for. I've got a couple of bothy trips lined up before christmas with mates - it is always a hoot. Long day walks, a fair deal of lubrication and plenty of bon hommie - people need to connect with each other and non human nature as often as possible in these settings. If you've not done it then you've never really lived - if you have done it and hated it then you did it wrong

I'm sure you're right ... just as I'm sure that I'm not up to anything that strenuous, in addition to not having camping gear or wanting to schlep it on the plane. Besides, I get very cranky if I don't get to sleep in a bed.

Sounds awesome! Mad thing is, I have all of the kit except the shave brush & iPod Don't see the point of them personally. Brilliant idea Stephen

Sir Sidney, you could always keep Silver & Squid company. They do not want to go striding the hills either.

    The whisky bit sounds good.

It's a days walk over fairly tiring mountain country - Beinn Mheadhoin via the Shelter Stone (Walk Highlands) this gives an idea of the area. We don't need to do Beinn Mheadhoin as it shows in this route. It requires half decent walking boots, some waterproofs and a fair bit of energy/fitness. Remembering that it is an overnight - so only prob 5 hrs walk in and five out the next day. Not a cake walk but not crippling either...

We can think about it for when the weather gets better again.

I can't do an overnight sleep out with Squid! Plus the fact you guys will get ****ed off very quickly if I have to stop the group evey few hours to whip my boob out to feed certain squid type thing.

Anyone not wanting to do the hike or sleep out has the legitimate excuse of "keeping an eye on me & Squid". Sandy has obviously nominated himself as our first minder.

Stephen I will supply you with a Glucagon injection incase Spike turns for the worst and will give you full instruction on what signs to look for and how and where to stab him, hehehe

Another vote for Scotland - Moved from the general UK Meet thread. Origianlly posted by J AKA Mr Magic Fingers.

Count me in for a weekend in Scotland and sign me up for any of the adventurous stuff. I spent most of my youthful winter holidays up in scotland hiking and climbing. It's been far too long since I revisited the highlands.
