Thanked: 995Minnesota Get Together?
Randy and I have been trying to find a time for a gathering in November. The two weekends that would work the best are November 8/9th or 15/16th. Say for an afternoon. However many can attend either time in the greatest number will make the choice.
Location: My shop, Cannon Falls, not far off the main drag south of St Paul. Bring whatever razor related stuff for show and tell. Randy will do the Honemeister demo and I can fill your curiosity to the brim with steel related questions.“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power.” R.G.Ingersoll

Thanked: 3795Just like the mid Mo get-together, I'm in as long as my work and my wife allow it. At this point either date option works for me. Cannon Falls is easy for me to get to so I'm happy about the location.
Thanks!!!

Whatever works best for you, Mike. I should be able to go on either a Sat or a Sun (between the two I think a Saturday would work a bit better for me). Thanks for offering to host it.
I should be able to bring a homemade strop and maybe a few other things for door prizes.
Let's get more than four guys!!
Dang, now I'm going to have FAD (Forge related Acquisition Disorder)!!!

Thanked: 995Saturdays will be good. I'll warn you all now, visiting my shop will cause more than acquisition disorders. The disease of steel is quite catching and incurable...

Thanked: 335MN Meet Up
Chris,
Considering the replies thus far to the proposal, I'm guessing that there are relatively few who know about the suggested gathering. There seems to be a good number of members here who admit to residence in the Great North, but also several of those have become strangely mute over the last several months. Perhaps they've decided to grow beards and feel, thusly hirsuted, that they no longer are qualified to bespeak matters shaving - and less so the longer their hairs grow.
At any rate, November is good for me - all but Thanksgiving week.
Which custom do you want? I actually have one that I am not altogether tickled with.

Well, bring them all and I'll take my pick.
After a week long vacation (the first in three years) last month, I grew a goatee in preparation for the winter months. It is interesting how much warmer a beard can keep a guy's face. I couldn't get used to it, the itching especially at the sides of my mouth. It's gone. Oh yah, you could be right, maybe the other guys up nort grew some beards and have wandered away?
