In, but the congestion zone doesn't apply on weekends.

Be careful with the parking though, you dont want to get hammered with a ticket..! A lot of central London is controlled parking even on a Saturday (due to the councils wanting to stop shoppers from driving into town) so be sure you are parking in a suitable area.

Google the municipal car parks in the area, you should be good to park there.

I'm really looking forward to this event now, its going to be awesome!

wish I had read this thread before booking my eurotunnel tickets

I'm driving back Nov 3rd to Lux and won't be up for taking a plane to the UK after a 10hr drive.

I would have loved to attend it!

Hopefully this will be an annual event, guess it depends on how the first one goes.

    Sounds fantastic!

    Hi,

I have just found out that the 'Go-Live' for a project I am working on is on the weekend of the RazorCon, so I have got to be at work.

    I am absolutely gutted

Could I please ask a favour - could somebody take some photographs and post them after the event ?

    Many thanks

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

Wel done, Stu, this sounds like it will be a good occasion. Unfortunately I won't make it as I'm flying in from HK that afternoon and there's no way I'll get a Free Pass signed by the wife what with two very jetlagged children in tow!

The shop is fantastic, have been many times. Beautiful oak panelling throughout, and of course the products... ! Others may want to check out some of the other shops nearby, for example there's a branch of Truefitt & Hill literally just across the (same) road. You can book some excellent shaves in there. Then there's the Ritz, Caviar House, and loads of posh shops selling quaint gentleman's attire, e.g. for when you're out pretending to hunt foxes.

Finally, worth noting (but not much to see) is the next street along, parallel to St James Street, is Arlington Street. Why's it worth just a quick look? Because that's where D.R.Harris got the name for its best line of product!

    Have fun everyone.

If you can provide 5-6 months notice, it would be much easier for those who live on this side of the pond to attend. I am very inclined to attend the next one, but need more advance notice to schedule things with the family.

Sound like it is going to be as blast.

I'll aim to provide a lot more notice for the next one.

I've got a couple of possible venues lined up already, so watch this space early next year...!

The UK Razorcon is this Saturday at D.R. Harris in Mayfair!

I just spoke to the MD of D.R. Harris, Alison, and she told me that we have a DOVO representative coming along and he will be bringing a razor display!

Theres also going to be honing, stropping and shaving demo's, I'll bring along my Dremel as well and I'll have one of MickR's roo hide strops there for you to try out. Theres a few other awesome things in the pipeline as well, so watch this space and I'll let you know before the day!

If any one has a razor they want honed please feel free to bring it along, I'll be doing free honing all afternoon! If you want to try your hand at basic cleaning up with a Dremel you'll be able to do that too..!

Dont forget as well that there is a giveaway of a razor and a few other goodies as well, just turn up on the day and you're automatically entered!

This is going to be a really awesome event and I'm looking forward to meeting my SRP brethren (and sistren! ) there!

See you guys there from 4pm on Saturday!
