John and I had a blast. Thank you so much for all of the information and supplies to make our own scales. And giving out some blades too.

I'm glad you and John could make it. I too had a blast. I hope John's beltsander manicure heals soon. :-) Also, for that one razor we never got around to finish honing -- bring it by next time you're in the area and I'll finish it up for you. Also we'd love to see pictures of the scales you made.

Thanks for joining us again, globaldev. Those are nice looking scales you got going there. Can't wait to see pictures of the final product. Thanks for tolerating my daughter "helping" you make them -- she is rather excitable isn't she? :-)

What a super smart knowledge base on restoration and scale construction and so patient. quite an experience working with her! gotta get my daughters to that level.

I got do a smidgen of restoration and a got 1/2 way through a set of scales before I had to leave... i think i can finish them on my own as I can remember all of Olivia's tips..

If i can make the next one, i'll bring my HF belt sander to get more people on the sanders...

Finally took it for a shave this morning and the razor was great even with my novice fumbly fingers. No blood...yet.
