Pacific Northwest Spring Meet-Yakima!
You are cordially invited...
It looks like we are starting to see the sun again. That means its time to start planning the Yakima meet.
I would like to run it earlier than last year if at all possible, but I am leaving dates open as of yet.
Any suggestions regarding dates will be considered at this point.
At this point I am thinking of the weekend of March 16/17
Lets get the ball rolling, please post here if you are interested in coming. Please PM anyone who you know in the area that they are invited.

Definitely interested and sounds like fun! I've got a couple other things developing in March so as long as my schedule works out I'm in. What are the details of how it has been held in the past... At someone's house, local restaurant, 2 days or one? Just trying to get my head around how the timeline will work out.

Is there somewhere that you describe an agenda? Probably unnecessary for you guys that have been doing this for some time but I am curious what the gathering is all about. I live in Gig Harbor - quite a drive - but I'm curious

Paul: I hope everything works out!
Agenda is dynamic, but usually I run a 2 day event with beginning honing, honing tricks, brush turning, workshop tricks, etc.
A lot of what we do is dependent on who all makes it. Glen usually works with the honing information. If Mike Blue comes you can ask him for his encyclopedic knowledge on steel.
Most of us have our own different take on things and we can all help wherever possible, but then there is also time for food, beers, and BS.
If there is any particular topic that anyone wants to cover, we can accomodate.
On this subject, can I get a head count of the people who want to turn their own brushes this year? Also, if there isn't as many people who want to learn the basics, I can cover topics such as alternative material turning, advanced function v. form, and we can spend more time on scale making or finishing if anyone wants.
