Hey there, total newbie to this site, and on my introduction post I was directed to this event! I'm definitely interested if you guys don't mind someone who is very much ready to make the switch - and ready to learn at your meeting. My own mother is going through cancer treatments at Mayo in Scottsdale, so my weekends book up, but I'll keep a look out. Hope all is well with everyone,

    Thanks Milehighscott!

I think I can make July 14, but again, sometimes schedule is up in the air due to my Mom's health. I'd really like to join you guys and ask questions - maybe get some tips on honing and what products to start buying. By that time I might even have a razor. I'm going to check the classifieds to see if there are some shave ready razors so I can start practicing [that's what people have suggested - which makes total sense to me]. And I guess lots of youtube, unless you guys have some good videos out there that I can link to - thanks again.

    Darren,

If you want to learn to hone, this is the event to attend. Glenn is patient, practical and a great teacher. I went to the meet in 2011 after two years of some good/some bad results. This one day was the breakthrough for me.

Plus you get the added bonus of attaching faces to the screen names.

    Hope you can make it.

    OK, updated list:

    scrapcan
    Glen
    John (johna2231)
    Logistics
    milehiscott
    Noswad
    Darren (MrDarrenMo) (we hope)
    Randy (coloshaver)

Tim (roughkype)--can't do it this year. Money is short and the drive is now quite a bit longer. Also, Bob (2005xfr) PMd me to say they've sold their house and will be busy moving.

Darren--I hope you can make it.

Everyone else--bring yer hones or Glen will have to demonstrate how to hone on pizza boxes. With a pepperoni slurry. You don't want to have to see that!
