    Condolences to his family.

It is indeed a great loss for all of us.

His many contributions are everywhere on this site but here's a brief interview Obie did few years ago

What terrible news, what a great spirit, his posts were always full of humour and wit, he was a wealth of knowledge and always a great friend to the community here, what utterly tragic news.

My condolences to his family and may he have the best shave den, stocked with everything he could want, in his great mansion in the sky. Rest in Peace Neil.

A truly sad day. Neil was a great guy, no one quite like him. In correspondence with him, I got to know him quite well.
He had a wealth of practical knowledge and so many crazy stories to relate. He had a way of putting you in his shoes as he told of his escapades and adventures.

His mind was amazing as was his wealth of historical and scientific smarts. He will be sorely missed by all who loved him and even by those who did not.
His health was bad for a very long time, filled with pain and frustration. I am grateful that his suffering has ceased.

The mold was broken as God made Neil. Rest Easy, My Friend.
    Final Regards,
    Tom

While the straight razor community has lost a friend his family has lost far more.

He left a legacy here with his knowledge, expertize, wit and sometimes 'mischief' he was always more than willing to help others with no regard of any type of pay back.

    He gave from his heart.

He was a Great Guy and he will be missed by so many. Myself included.
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Were that I had been Methuselah able to give him some of my excess years.

RIP Neil Miller. May his wife and family know that the Universe took him to their bosom with care and love.
