Very sad news to hear.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

Terrible loss of a true gentleman.
RIP Dave. It was pleasure to know you through the forum. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 81This is incredibly sad news. My condolences for his family.
I also only knew him through his posts here and a bit of correspondence, but his warm personality shone through.

Rest easy my friend"No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"

I had no idea-just now seeing this. What a blow to our community. I talked with him via pm a few times, and as a mentor, but didn't really know him beyond that. As a fellow father of two (now grown) sons, I can't imagine what a blow it must be to the whole family to lose their Dad so young. Rest in Peace friend.
