Feedback? Never owned a thuringian before. From pics I've seen it sure seems like one

Looks to be a great find.
I am very appreciative of all the knowledge and sharing each and everyone has provided me with. Look forward to future endeavors with many of you.

Lapped off some patina so you can see better as well. Still a bit left but hope it helps
Can see the natural color changes starting ending in bottom right corner of pics starting in middle of top the stone is a greenish color in person not sure the pics show it very well...by far the smoothest rock I've ever held though...bout to test it

Hey Dennis, iam not shure though about the thuringian thing, shurely a nice stone but just from looking at the pics thats not my vote...any Sawmarks visible on the sides ? Can you make a detail shot of the corner where a part is broken out or its due to natural structure (Schist) ?
You should compare it to the one you will get....having then both stones together it might be better for you personal to come to a conclusion...having two turingians in your own hand you will be able to identify....Last edited by doorsch; 04-24-2014 at 06:54 AM.

More pics in better lighting now that I'm at the barber shop....used some wet dry and took some patina off the middle of the side for a better shot
