Honestly Dennis this is the most important thing to a shaver, now for collectors it's a different story. Nice snag of a great looking hone.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

the 12K+ and beyond is what I'm chasing and I think I may have found it with the Apart BH. Shave will see. I didn't see a drastic physical change, but I didn't do too many laps on the lather. I think I did 10-12.

Now having this BH in hand and tested, I now really have to step back and tip my hat to the quality and value of the Nani 12K.

    Dennis,
This looks like a really nice stone.

Dennis, how do I get the razor gods on my side a little more. Are there any special sacrifices that you've been doing? Any magical words of script I could say? Cool catch man! You're likely to get 'tennis elbow' from all honing you gotta do.
"The needs of the many out way the needs of the few or the one." Only if the 'few' or the 'one' are/is offering themselves (thru freewill) for the sacrifice. And not thru force from the 'many'.

Hit up the Woodcraft shop and bought a diamond lapping plate and a king 6k today, along with some nice exotic woods, probably pick up a norton 4k/8k combo next week as well, then I should be set on stones, not that HAD will go away lol

Did some more lapping on this stone and its looking even better, had a lot of old swarf in it I believe.

    Update since lapping the stone....
It is an ultra fine finisher, very hard stone, and works very fast.
