I play a little guitar (not well) and had a twelve string I turned into a six string. I loved that guitar for the super wide fretboard, since I have sausage fingers and no six string guitar at the time. That is a long time to wait for a guitar it seems like, but I don't know much about custom guitars. Was that due to materials, maker, or random problems? I would love to see a pic....sorry to be way off-topic.

So...the Zulu Grey has had her maiden voyage. Briefly, this is an exceptionally fine stone; I am a fan.
Used as a finisher after a Pyramid honing process with Naniwa SS stones 5k, 8k, and just a very few laps on the 12k, the ZG wrapped things up with a dozen or so laps and the Hart 7/8 came off with a sick silly sharp edge but as smooth as a coticule. No harshness at all.
Should prove interesting to see how it interfaces with the coti....that's for sometime next week or so.

Thanked: 522The first Zulu I ordered took some time to arrive but it did arrive. It comes from South Africa and there is the issue of customs and long distance shipping.
After l had the stone a short time, l sold it to a barber friend. Couldn't stand not having a Zulu so I ordered another one. Took about the same time and finally arrived. All good things come to those who wait.............
By the way, the second stone is harder than the first one I got. Slurry is hard to come by on this stone. Edges come slow but really shave well.JERRY
OOOPS! Pass the styptic please.

Thanked: 18Sleep deprivation is the story of my life lol between working nights and a 5 yo and 4 month old when I come home I don't think I could sleep 8 hrs straight. I was dying to get at my zulu but the wifey was umm...miffed shall we say that another package had shown up. In fact she wouldn't even tell me what day it had arrived, just gave me that look....you know that look. The one that said if she had a hammer and I was in range when that package from south Africa had arrived I would be sporting a divot or two in my noggin! So basically I just opened it, drooled over it and then put it away . It's kinda out of my league at the moment except I might try messing up one of my shave ready razors from my rotation on it when swmbo is sleeping
