If you truly are new, which I doubt, you sure are starting off on the right foot. That's a record outing for a troll I think.

The 8K Norton is not magical, nor is it particularly hard to learn.
Au contraire, it is often recommended as a decent and straightforward tool to learn how to hone.
What it does take is a bit of practice though, to get all that can be had from it.
As with every learned skill all it takes is to use it and learn from that usage.

Quite a few of us on this site have done exactly that, some as much as hundreds and even thousands of razors honed on them.
That experience is what we try to share with those willing to listen.
No agenda, no other motive than to share whatever we learn with others that have a desire to hone their own razors.

Sounds pretty straight forward, wouldn't you say?

As the guy who seems to have indirectly started this mess, I would like to thank you all, even the "CLAVEN", for helping me understand the error in my judgement. I will follow the wisdom that exists among the "majority" here and hone my skills on the 4k/8K Norton.

This has been very enlightening. REALLY!
