    Default 8k shave: Good enough for you ? Yes or no.

    As the title says. Let's see what everyone's opinion is. Yes, your opinion. Some people enjoy an 8k shave. Others do not. As with most things YMMV but let's pretend that there is nothing better than a norton 8k. Would you be HAPPY shaving with this edge and this edge only.

    Depends. 8k JIS or 8k mesh? I just shaved off of an Atoma 400 the other day.

    This poll is useless and simply is an extension of a discussion in another thread.

    The reason it is useless is because it does not take into account who used the 8k to produce the edge.

    One must learn to max out at the 8k level, without this approach, going to a finer stone will yield inappreciable results.

    Intriguing that this 8k level seems so hard to master? I wonder how many people can truly 'max out' an 8k stone..... maybe my feeble mind and hands cannot comprehend!
