    Cheers Bob
Thank you for useful reaction. Especially is good to know that Gokumyo + Atomat #400 is without problem.

My experience with the 20k has been positive. Though I have plenty of experience with coticule edges, eschers, the superstones, shaptons, and nortons, among others, the gokumyo 20k is the best edge I've gotten for sharp/smooth. Couldn't tell you about scratches because I don't look for that. Getting a sharp smooth edge is all I focus on. Different strokes for different folks.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

The only remorse I have for using the GMN-200 is that my Thuri gets neglected a lot.
Not so much because of the Thuri's capabilities but more on the lines of, do i want to do upwards of 100 strokes or 20 to get my blades to shave real nice. Sometimes being lazy or let's call it time efficient trumps all.

Is the edge from Gokumuo 20 k is better than a J-nat edge . Is it sharper or smoother

My smoothest shave came from an Gold Dollar 100 finished on an SH 20K, don't know about the Jnats.

Second smoothest shave was off the coticule and the "Vermio" Greek stone naturals.

Although I can not speak anything of J-Nat edges to make a comparison, I may give them a go sometime, but i'm trending towards less fiddly results these days. The GMN-200 gives me as sharp and smooth as I like. improves the edge after the Naniwa 12 and smooths it right out. I don't seem to get that prickly feel that Crox can give with overuse. Shaves very clean down to the skin on the WTG stroke and leaves almost nothing behind. Never need to do more than a 2 pass shave and its all good. I really couldn't ask for more so I don't. My other stones seem to have me wondering if things could be better but for me the GMN-200 stopped any HAD longing dead. I am absolutely satisfied with my shaving results.

Nothing really to add to what has already been said here. I am 100% happy with my G20K. Best investment I have made in this hobby. Wouldn't trade it for any other stone. It's easy, repeatable results are for me excellent. My $.02 Ken

Just ordered one of the 20 k stones , looking forward to trying it out. Jamie in Wales was kind enough to hone my Boker, using the naniwa line up and 20 k finisher. I found the edge to be smooth and provide a nice clean cut.

Like Gary, this stone has captured my interest, and aroused my curiosity for so long that I will be ordering one also ..
