    Apples & oranges.
You simply have to test each stone to see its merits.

Is it only me, or the Jnats in the Tokyo area like coticule stones? Many mines, many stratas, each with its unique name and usually different properties from mine to mine, strata to strata and stone to stone. And, Jnats are as far as I know, made out of the same mineral, like coticule stones.
Edit; I don't mean Jnats are made out of garnet, but the same with each other.

The main mineral content may be the same but the composition may vary, I would think. Just like a diamond, which comes in various shapes, forms, color, impurities and hence classified under the 3 C's

    For the record.

I just shaved with my DMT slurried razor and I must admit, it was outstanding.

    I did the Chosera 1k / 5k / 10k / Koma / DMT.. 10/10

Still, it's a diamond. As for the stones, the color differences and softness-porosity depending on the depth the stone was extracted from, (I can't say the same is true for coticule stones) there are many differences, but have a whole lot more in common from Jnat to Jnat, than not, like coticule stones. My post was not about "inferior" stones that are as good as the good-expensive ones because of these similarities, they are not. I was merely trying to point out that I do see some similarities between these two types.

I'm sorry I do not follow, seems little beyond me, I guess. Afterall diamond is a stone.

No. The koma and dmt were used on the Nakayama.
